Punjab and Haryana hc Bar Council requests physical hearings

The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association has petitioned the Punjab and Haryana High Court to start physical hearings in the High Court such that pendency can be alleviated to a certain degree and plaintiffs who are awaiting hearings can receive justice.

The Bar Association also attached an assessment form wherein the majority of its members are in support of actual reopening of the courts, despite the fact that, as of 16.08.2021, just two cases were being recorded and the number of affected cases has been decreased to 43 in Chandigarh.

The Bar Council also stated that they have organised 39 vaccination campaigns and vaccinated 8005 members, their households, and other people associated with the High Court, such as merchants, HCBA staff, and AG Office staff, to date.

As a result, the Bar Council respectfully requested that the physical session be restarted as soon as possible.
